When we launched the newsletter, we knew we wanted to update the book every two to three years and imagined it would be easier to spread the work over time. We imagined also we could satisfy the curiosity of readers by allowing fee-based access to the new work.

Unfortunately, obtaining and thoroughly reviewing over a hundred new perfumes then publishing the results every season was far more demanding than we anticipated. Now that LT is engaged full-time in scientific work at MIT and TS has begun other projects, there simply isn’t time.

The updated paperback will still appear in the US and UK in late October. It adds all the reviews from the newsletters, expanded FAQs and an index by brand. We plan to update the book after that and hope you will continue sending comments and, of course, perfumes.
